DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Quantum Materials Physics Symposium on Emerging Pheno
 mena in Two-Dimensional Systems (QMPS2026-EP2D) is organized in response t
 o the rapid progress in the study of two-dimensional (2D) systems\, driven
  by advances in material synthesis\, experimental techniques\, and theoret
 ical approaches. In recent years\, 2D systems have emerged as a fertile pl
 atform for exploring novel physics\, ranging from correlated electrons\, m
 any-body effects\, topological phases\, twisted electronics\, to ultrafast
  phenomena\, with a wealth of potential implications for future electronic
  and quantum technologies.\nAgainst this backdrop\, this three-day symposi
 um\, to be held at the Institute of Physics\, Academia Sinica (IoP\, AS) i
 n Taipei from August 12 to 14\, 2026\, aims to bring together active resea
 rchers working on the physics of 2D systems to present and discuss their l
 atest findings. With a primary focus on\, though not exclusively limited t
 o\, correlated and topological phenomena\, twisted electronics\, and ultra
 fast dynamics in 2D materials\, the symposium seeks to foster in-depth exc
 hanges between experimental and theoretical approaches\, stimulate new ide
 as for future investigations\, and provide a platform for researchers and 
 students to engage with cutting-edge developments at the forefront of this
  rapidly evolving field.\nThis symposium represents the third edition of t
 he Quantum Materials Physics Symposium series\, initiated at the IoP\, AS
