Description

The 8th International Symposium on Ultra-High-Energy Cosmic Rays (UHECR2026/7) will be held from January 18 to 22, 2027, at Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan.

The symposium is a new edition of a series of meetings that bring together the UHECR community and that were previously held in Nagoya (2010), CERN (2012), Springdale, Utah (2014), Kyoto (2016), Paris (2018), L'Aquila (2022), and Malargüe (2024).

The symposium will bring together the international community to discuss new observational results, theoretical developments, and future directions in ultra-high-energy cosmic-ray physics. The program will also cover the transition between Galactic and extragalactic cosmic rays and relevant connections at lower energies.

Topics will include:

  • cosmic-ray sources and acceleration;
  • propagation and magnetic fields;
  • energy spectrum, mass composition, and anisotropy;
  • the transition between Galactic and extragalactic cosmic rays;
  • multi-messenger connections, including photons, neutrinos, and gravitational waves;
  • hadronic interactions in air showers and at accelerators;
  • direct cosmic-ray measurements and cross-calibration;
  • physics beyond the Standard Model; and
  • new and future experiments.

The scientific program will consist of invited reviews, contributed talks, and reports from inter-collaboration working groups, all in plenary sessions. Poster contributions are welcome. Each accepted poster will be accompanied by a five-minute flash talk, and posters may remain on display throughout the symposium.
