As a foreign passport holder who plans to have a short visit in Taiwan, you must hold a valid passport with remaining validity of at least six months as of the date of entry.
Citizens of 50+ countries are eligible for Taiwan's visa-exampt program; see https://www.boca.gov.tw/cp-149-4486-7785a-2.html.
